About

Shedrack Akintayo

I work at the intersection of developer experience, cloud-native systems, and AI context architecture. Across more than eight years in software engineering, DevRel, and technical writing, I have built the documentation, tools, and knowledge systems that help developers and coding agents understand complex products and act with confidence. I'm a CNCF Ambassador, a UK Global Talent, and most recently Senior Technical Writer at Traefik Labs.

Ambassador
CNCF Ambassador — recognised for sustained contribution to the cloud native community.
Kubernetes

Community
Founder, DevRel Community Africa — founded in 2022.

What I Do

Context Architecture & AI Engineering

  • Built Kontinuo, a local-first MCP server and CLI for verifiable handoffs between AI coding agents
  • Designed Kontinuo schema-backed checkpoint model to combine explicit session intent with Git and workspace evidence, including provenance, freshness, and drift checks
  • Led Traefik's agentic-docs initiative, restructuring product documentation into a high-fidelity, machine-readable context layer for RAG and AI coding assistants
  • Built internal Claude tooling that generates codebase documentation from implementation pull requests

Technical Writing & Documentation Architecture

  • Design and maintain documentation systems for cloud-native products and open-source communities
  • Create product documentation, tutorials, release notes, and enterprise case studies for technical audiences
  • Validate product behavior through source code, API, Kubernetes, and configuration reviews before documenting it
  • Build docs-as-code workflows that improve onboarding, adoption, and machine retrieval

Developer Relations & Cloud-Native Experience

  • Built a developer relations program from scratch for the Cloud Foundry Foundation, serving 14,000+ individual developers and enterprise users including VMware, IBM, SAP, and UK Government Digital Services
  • Wrote five articles for Smashing Magazine that together passed one million page views
  • Wrote technical case studies with enterprise users including Bloomberg and DigitalOcean, showing production architectures built on eBPF and Cilium at Isovalent — acquired by Cisco for $650M in April 2024, where I continued through the integration
  • Created 20+ technical guides at Platform.sh for a developer base of 5,000+ active users and enterprise customers including Orange, Adobe, and the British Council, and wrote the official beginners guide used in pitches to technical investors
  • Led Developer Relations, Support, Content and Community at Wilco
  • Work hands-on with Kubernetes, Go, Docker, Terraform, eBPF/Cilium, and CI/CD to explain real product behavior

Beyond the Screen

When I'm not architecting cloud systems or writing documentation, I'm a dedicated athlete. I cross-train in strength, Muay Thai, running, and football. I believe the discipline and resilience built in sports directly translate to engineering excellence.

Let's Connect

I'm always interested in discussing context architecture for AI coding agents, MCP integrations and agentic documentation, documentation strategy for complex products, and cloud-native developer experience.
